Brief Bio
After graduating with a Ph.D. from the Vienna University of Technology, Edgar worked in a re-search startup for two years. He then spent one year teaching as an assistant professor at Beloit College, WI. From 2002 to 2004, while with the software vendor ISIS Papyrus, he worked as a consultant in New York, NY and Albany, NY, and in Frankfurt, Germany. In 2004 he joined the Vienna University of Technology and founded the research center SBA Re-search together with A Min Tjoa and Markus Klemen.Edgar R. Brief Bio
Christophe BIDAN is a doctor in Computer Sciences (University of Rennes 1, 1998). He holds an HDR from the University of Rennes 1 (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches, 2010). Since 2000, Christophe BIDAN is a professor at Supélec and permanent member of the INRIA / Supélec project-team CIDre. Before joining Supélec, Christophe BIDAN spent a one-year postdoct at Imperial College, London. He also worked for Gemplus (now Gemalto) as a security architect in the cryptography and security team. His research area is security of information systems. He is particularly interested in intrusion de tection and privacy of self-organized networks (ad hoc, P2P) and Web applications. He also manages research on privacy in social networks, and visualization of security events. He is author or co-author of more than thirty national and international communications. Christophe BIDAN was a member of the organizing committees of the symposiums RAID 2009 (Recent Advances in Intrusion Detection) and SSTIC (French Symposium on Security of Information Technologies and Communications) from 2004 to 2006. He regularly participates in program committees of national and international conferences. He is a member of the board for the security activities of the DGA (Direction Générale de l’Armement, French Army). He is also a member of the Selection and Validation Committee of the Images & Networks international cluster. Moreover, he achieves expertise in the context of national calls for projects and regularly participates in national scientific projects (Everyware, SPOPS, POLUX, SAVE, LISE, AMORES). From 2002 to 2009, Christophe BIDAN was co-responsible of the Specialized Master in Cybersecurity, joint program with Supelec and TELECOM Bretagne. Brief Bio
Esma Aïmeur is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Operations Research at the University of Montreal. She received her Ph.D. Degree from University of Paris 6 in the field of Artificial Intelligence. She was the head of the Computer Science division of the multidisciplinary Masters Program in Electronic Commerce at the University of Montreal. She has been working with her team on computer privacy for more than 12 years. She is interested in privacy-enhancing technologies in different settings, such as social networks, electronic commerce and e-learning. She also works on p rivacy-preserving data mining and the protection of personal data (identity theft, information disclosure, profiling and re-identification). She has been appointed member of the Data Protection Advisory Committee of University of Montreal.
